Titans win nail biter in South River

The Titans got the Spartans monkee off their backs Sunday afternoon in South River with a 4-3 victory. Having suffered 3 close losses to the Spartans earlier in the season, the Titans were looking  for some revenge. Leading 3-2 after the first period on goals by Michael Chuinard, Hugo Noller and Deverick Ottereyes. The Spartans drew even at 3 in the second and both teams looked like their were heading for another overtime showdown but with only 1:47 left, while the teams were playing 3 aside Hugo Noller burried a wrist shot on Sebastian De Massa of the Spartans and that proved to be the winner. Ryder Murray added 3 assists and now has 66 for the season and a tie with all time leader Andre Leclair.  A real good hockey game was played by both teams, fast skating, nice passes and hits galore. Each team got 8 minor penalties. Shots were 35-33 Titans. Andreas Morger was the winner. The Titans will now host back to back home games on Thursday Jan 28 vs Parry Sound Islanders and then Friday Jan 29, Bracebridge Blues.
