O.T. thriller in Taming !

Following their easy victory over the Wiarton Schooners on Friday night, the Titans received their first visit of the season from the West Nipissing Lynx(8-4-2). And if the game this evening is any indication of things to come then the fans in both towns are in for a treat this season. The game was a back and forth affair with a couple of lead changes and a couple of come from behinds also. The end result was an overtime win for the Titans by the score of 4-3 extending their unbeaten string to 6 games. The win places the Titans in a 4th place tie with the Spartans and 3 points out of the 3rd position held by the Lynx. The Titans have 2 games in hand over the Spartans and 3 over the Lynx. Joakim Braneby who earned the games first star had 2 goals including the O.T. winner and also added an assist. Nikita Sidenko, who’s had a hot stick lately added a goal as did Zdenek Fabry. Axel Hallor chipped in with 3 assists. Tim Cachard (3rd star) got the win in goal facing 32 shots, while his counterpart Guilio Costa of the Lynx earned the 2nd star stopping 45 of 49 Titans shots.
Next game for the Titans is a road trip to Meaford to face the Knights on Saturday November 3rd. Next home game will be a double header. Thursday November 8th versus the Lynx and Friday November 9th against the Bradford Bulls.
