Titans take one on the chin in Gravenhurst !
The Titans were in Gravenhurst on Friday evening to kick off their weekend of 3 games in 3 days to face the South Muskoka Shield and hoping to win a third straight game for the second time this season. But it was not to be, as the Shield was ready for this game and the Titans unfortunately were not. Trailing 1-0 after the first period and then 3-1 after 40 minutes. The Shield dominated the final period and skated to a 6-1 victory. Scott Sovinsky registered the Titans lone goal. With two more games still to play, the Titans need to be better prepared. Last night’s game was not the right night to have the team playing an “off” game. Raffaele Izzo was the game’s 3rd star facing 54 shots. The Titans had 34. Special teams for the Shield contributed 2 power play goals and one shorthanded. That was a big factor as the Titans could not get organized on their man advantages.
