Titans snare the Lynx 9-3

Playing in their second game in 24 hours on home ice at the Centre, the Titans were hosting the West Nipissing Lynx on Friday evening. Following their loss on Thursday the Titans were looking for a turnaround of that game. They certainly did as they come out of the gate with four first period goals with Simon Brannvall getting a pair while Harald Sundell and Rylan Freed had the others. The second period saw the Titans outscore the Lynx 2-1 to head into the final period leading 6-1. Second period goals from Kristjan Kristinsson & Alex Provost-Ross. IN the final period, the Titans repeated the feat by scoring two more goals to the visitors lone goal. Branvall nothed his third for the hat trick. Rylan Freed and Joakim Braneby had the others. The Titans again tonight held a large margin on the shot clock outshooting the Lynx 55-27. The line of Branvall, Sundell and Arvid Sjogren combined for 10 points as Sjogren had 3 assists. Jason Goes got the win in his first start. The 3 stars of the game were Brannvall, Sundell and Sjogren (A Swedish sweep). Titans will play their first road game of the season next Friday when they travel to South River to take on the Spartans. This game will mark the return to the lineup of Guillaume Taupier, who had to sit out the first four games of the season while serving a suspension he got in the playoffs last season.
