Titans edge Knights 4-2

The Titans were hosting the Meaford Knights (16-17-3) on Saturday evening at the Centre. The previous two meetings between these teams resulted in 4-3 wins by the Titans. The latest, in a 7 round shootout in Meaford. This game looked like another close checking tight scoring game. The Titans opened the scoring in the 19th minute of the first when Lee Pollitt connected on a pretty three wat passing play with his line mates Nikita Sidenko and Arvid Sjogren. The Knights tied the score half way through the middle frame and then took the lead on a power play at 16:21. The second ended 2-1 Knights. The Titans took over all the scoring in the final period as Marc-Antoine Arseneau scored at 1:17. Then at 7:58 it was Larri Vartiainen who gave the Titans the lead at 3-2. Less than four minutes later after a prolonged control of the puck in the offensive zone it was Gustav Rollfelt who scored the insurance marker to make it 4-2. And that was the final score. Shots on goal were 42-33 Titans. 3 stars were all Titans: Zacharie Maheu, Guillaume Taupier and Marc-Antoine Arseneau.

Sunday the Titans hop aboard their bus and head to Bradford for their last road game of the regular season to face the Rattlers, game time is 7:30pm.
