Titans suffer 4th straight loss

Spartans beat Titans 5-1 in South River

The Titans did something Saturday night that was not done since their joining the GMHL in 2011. They lost for the 4th consecutive game at the hands of the Almaguin Spartans. In a game that featured almost 100 shots, it was the Spartans that came out on top by a score of 5-1. The Spartans opened the scoring about 14 minutes into the first period but less than a minute later while on a power play Nick Proulx tied the score at one. In the middle period, the Spartans scored 3 times and added one more late in the third period to take the win. Emile Goulet suffered the loss facing 56 Spartans shots. With this last loss, the Titans find themselves 3 points behind the Pirates in 4th place. A short night’s sleep and the Titans hit the road early Sunday morning and head to Seguin to try to break the losing skid against the Huskies. Game time is 2pm.
