Yegor Grishichkin signs with Titans

Yegor Grishichkin signs with the Titans.

The Titans are pleased to announce the signing of Russian defenseman Yegor Grishichkin (2003) 6’5 ’’ 205L. Yegor played last season with Akademyia Petrova U18,  only 16 at the time. The large-format Russian defenceman has accumulated 5 points in 22 games and 38 penalty minutes. Here’s what our GM can tell us about our newest Titans:“Yegor is a really interesting d-man. He is first and foremost a very good skater for a defenseman of his size. When you are 6’5 ’’ at the age of 16 you can sometimes be clumsy just long enough to adjust to your strong growth. This is not the case at all for Yegor who looks more like a 19-year-old d-man than a 17-year-old. He possesses a powerful and precise wristtin shot, another sign of his physical strength. Speaking of physical strength, fans and teammates will appreciate his rugged game. Let’s say he doesn’t spare his opponents any room along the boards.Yegor was destined for the Russian Junior Major (MHL) but due to the pandemic hitting hard in Russia, the test camps are shorter and involve fewer players at present. Canada’s path was becoming attractive to our new Titans. At 17, Yegor could play a few seasons with us. Having Reingold Shtemke on the team will also allow him to adapt well to his new life. We are very happy with his coming to the Blues. ”The Titans now have 19 players officially under contract with the team.3 goalies, 6 d-men and 10 forwards.More signings are expected to materialize very soon. The Titans will also be holding a test camp in Kingsey Falls, Que. On August 14-15.
