Titans/Tillsonburg make trade

Trade alert

Titans & Hurricanes strike a deal

The Titans have acquired in a trade with the Tillsonburg Hurricanes the services of 19 year old Swedish forward Victor Lilja-Iwanstam. The 5’11” 175 lbs center will be joining the Titans for the upcoming season. Victor, who is from Helsingborg, Sweden played 41 games last season with the Hurricanes and he had 6 goals and 14 assists. Victor will bring a lot of speed and intensity to our lineup. “He will be a great asset for us on the penalty kill by winning important face offs and also chipping in offensively” says Titans GM Nicolas Tourigny. Lilja-Iwantsam describes himself as a two way center that plays well in both zones. I excel on the penalty kill and can contribute on the power play unit. My strong skating ability allows me to create a good passing game. It’s an honor for me to play for the Titans. Almost every year the Titans are a top contender for the Russell Cup and I hope that I can contribute to that goal this season.
