Following the return of Nick Proulx announced 2 days ago, the Titans are extremely happy to announce the return of Dayton Murray. Winner of the Russell Cup in 2015 and the Copeland-McNamara cup with the Powassan Voodoos last season, The all star defenseman also played in Canada’s Junior A championship, the Dudley Cup. Dayton, who is now 20 years old has been selected to all star teams in 3 consecutive years in the NOJHL and the GMHL
The 6 foot 170lbs blue liner also dressed for four games with the North Bay Batallion last season of the OHL and had 2 assists.
This season with the Voodoos, he had 17 goals and 21 assists for 38 points, which put him atop the scoring for defensemen in the NOJHL.
Dayton’s return to Temiscaming means a lot to the Titans. Coach William Bendi will not only benefit from what he will contribute on the ice but importantly he brings experience, leadership and the will to win.
Dayton put a lot of thought into this move that must have been difficult to leave a team as their assistant captain and a team that was in first place having only lost 4 games all season. Dayton will be in the Titans lineup tonight in Ville Marie against the Pirates and will wear jersey #27.
WELCOME BACK Dayton !!
