Titans select new bench boss

The job of recruiting to fill the Titans line up is not limited to only players. This being said, the position of head coach needed to be filled with the recent departure of Chris Levesque. Several interesting candidates were being considered to coach the team. And the Titans are extremely pleased to announce the hiring of our new head coach William Bendi. From the Marieville in the Monteregie region, Bendi brings to the Titans over 25 years of coaching with about 20 years of coaching experience in the elite categories from Pee-Wee to Junior AAA. The last 8 years he spent in the Junior AA and AAA leagues where his teams enjoyed much success. He has also been involved in other aspects of the game including: Master trainer for body checking and concussion prevention, participated and elaborated in player and coach training. He also headed several conditioning camps and various hockey schools at all levels. He was also responsible for the hockey program for College de Montreal.

Titans G.M. Nicolas Tourigny describes him as a coach that demands a lot of his players that feels strongly about older values but must be adaptable to today’s players. He still considers himself as a student of the game always looking for new and improved techniques and player skills to improve his players. Asked why he selected the Titans to pursue his coaching career, Bendi says “ The Titans have been one of the better organizations in the GMHL with very passionate owners, incredible fan support and not to forget great work by the recruiting team in putting together a competitive team year after year. The challenge that now faces me is to continue the tradition of excellence, which motivates me immensely.

Welcome to the community of Temiscaming and to the Titans organization
