Titans season ends in South River

The Titans were facing the possibility of being ousted from the best of 5 series with the Spartans in South River on Monday night.  Leading the series the Spartans had home ice advantage and took full advantage of it and ended the Titans chance of repeating as Russell Cup champions. Leading 1-0 after the first period and then 2-1 after 40 minutes, the Spartans added 2 third period goals to put the game out of reach for the Titans.  Dayton Murray had the lone goal for the Titans, who outshot their hosts 39-30 but could not solve their goaltender.  Andreas Morger took the loss.
