Spartans take game #1, 4-2 | Titans de témiscaming

The Almaguin Spartans now lead the semi final series 1-0 following their 4-2 win over the Titans on Thursday evening at the Centre.  A solid goaltender and three power play goals by the Spartans was the big difference.  The Titans never led in the game trailing 1-0 after the first and 3-1 after 40 minutes.  Deverick Ottereyes and Jakob Willhelmsson scored for the Titans who outshot the Spartans 60-21.  The Titans now hit the road Friday for game #2 in South River, game time at the South River/Machar community centre is 7:30pm.  Game 3 is back at the Centre on Saturday with a 8pm start.  The 3 stars were Carlson, Bryan Austin from Almaguin and Deverick Ottereyes.
