Meaford edges Titans, 4-3

The Titans were playing their second game of the year in Meaford on January 18.  The last 2 games played there resulted in tight checking shoot out wins by the Titans. An added element to this game was the Titans would be facing our former goaltender Raffaele Izzo who was signed as a free agent by the Knights. Simon Brannvall opened the scoring but the Knights replied with a pair of goals in a 5 minute span to lead 2-1 after the first period. Meaford outscored the Titans in the middle period to take a 4-2 lead heading into the final period. Brannvall scored his second of the game and 31st of the season. In the last period the Titans had several opportunities until Jakob Wilhelmsson brought the Titans within a single goal assisted by Brannvall. In the last 2 minutes of the game, goaltender Aaron Young was pulled for an extra attacker but the Knights held on for the 4-3 win. Shots were 55-42 Titans.

The Titans now have 8 days to prepare for a huge match on Friday January 26th against the Ville Marie Pirates at The Centre.
