Rattlers, Russell Cup Champions
Titans concluded the National Championship today with a 7-0 loss against the best team in the league, the Bradford Rattlers.
The Rattlers have thus crowned a dream season, much like the one we ourselves experienced last season. They should be congratulated because they undoubtedly deserve their Russell 🏆, especially since they have been waiting for it for 9 years.
Our team left a lot of energy on the ice last night and the start of the game today was difficult. The visitors leading 3-0 halfway through the 1st period.
This game marked the end of the Junior career of 6 of our players. Always sad to see the guys we like go and have come a long way with. In the case of Èloi Bouchard and Thomas Laforge, we are talking about 4 years.
The next few days will be used for the team’s postmortem and individual meetings with the players. The club’s staff will also evaluate the troops and establish its strategy for the next season.
Your Titans have had great success over the past 3 seasons:
2 Division Championships
1 League Championship
1 Russell Cup + 1 🏆Final
Not to mention that COVID stopped the hockey world in March 2020 when we were only 1 win short from another participation in the 🏆Final. That would make us 3 in 3 seasons.
If we are disappointed to have lost today, we must realize that we have had a really special run these 3 last seasons.
Congratulations to our players from our 3 most recent editions and to our coaches, including obviously coach Sébastien Lacroix.
Thank you to the volunteers and our loyal fans who help make the Titans an envied organization across the league.
We start working on our next season tomorrow.
GO Titans!
