Bulls end Titans winning streak in Bradford

Wednesday night in Bradford, the Titans took the ice to face the Bulls. Playing their first game in 10 days, they were lucky to escape the first period tied at one goal apiece. The Bulls scored first but Nico Wilton tied it up late in the period. The Titans showed signs of rust as they were unable to maintain any kind of prolonged attack in the offensive zone. An Adrien Guenette goal only 11 seconds into the second period gave the Titans a 2-1 lead, but it evaporated quickly as the Bulls replied with 3 goals in less than 4 minutes to carry a 4-2 advantage going into the final 20 minutes. The Bulls went up by two goals with an early power play goal but Adrien Guenette with his second of the night made the score 5-3. With about 3 minutes to play the Titans pulled their goalie for an extra attacker but the Bulls scored an empty net goal to seal their victory 6-3. Shots were 40-33 in favor of the Bulls. Veli Makinen suffered the loss. The Titans still have a couple of games to play this weekend. A home game on Saturday January 28th versus the Meaford Knights and then on Sunday January 29th, they travel again to Bradford but this time to face the Rattlers.
