The Titans faced off against the North division leading New Tecumseth Civics at the Centre on Saturday night. Two of the top three teams with only 5 losses between them. But the Civics come out on top by the score of 9-5. The score was 3-2 Civics after 20 minutes and then tied at five after the second. But four unanswered third period goals with the last one into an empty net by the Civics was the difference. It wasn’t the Titans night as the defensive unit was hard pressed to stop the Civics top line that combined for a total of 16 points. Bobby Cloutier and Eloi Bouchard shared the game between the pipes. The Titans outshot the Civics 48-34. The Civics goaltender made at least 3 saves that were sure goals. Only a total of 10 minutes in penalties were handed out with the Titans having only one minor. The Titans power play did however click on 3 goals. Marc-Antoine Turcotte had 2g-1a. Other goals came from Xavier Sincennes, Bailey Chenier and Yannick Ethier. Aleck Forcier had 3 helpers. Sincennes also added one assist.
It doesn’t get easier tomorrow night as the Titans head down to Bradford to take on the Rattlers for a 7:30pm start.
