Fresh off a game in which the Titans handed the Civics their worst loss of the season last night in Témiscaming, high expectations were the norm before tonight’s game. But tonight it was the Civics who jumped into an early lead but the Titans replied with a power play goal by Marc-Antoine Arseneau to end the first tied at one goal apiece. In the second period the Civics outscored the Titans 5-2 to lead 6-3 after 40 minutes. Four of their goals came on the power play. Ryder Murray and Philemon Gentes on a power play were the goal scorers for the Titans. The Titans had a glorious opportunity to get within 2 goals on a four minute power play but a Civics shorthanded goal made it 7-3. Less than a minute later, the Titans capitalize on the PP and make it 7-4 on an Adrien Guenette goal. Veli Makinen took the loss in goal. Titans were outshot 43-29. Game 4 is scheduled for Saturday night at the Center and the Titans now face a must win situation if they wish to force a game 5 back in New Tecumseth. This could be a tough task as a couple of players will be serving suspensions, Nico Wilton and Guillaume Taupier both received penalties that will most likely carry a suspension. The Titans were without the services of Dman Larri Vartiainen due to an injury suffered in game 2.
