Titans win home opener 6-2

The Titans didn’t disappoint their fans for their home opener at the Centre on Friday night earning a 6-2 victory over the Parry Sound Islanders in front of about 450 fans. Ryder Murray was the first star with 4 assists, Sakari Starkkila and Gustav Rollfelt each with a pair of goals were the 2nd and 3rd stars respectively. The other goals came by Jason Berube and Dayton Murray. Tomas Mastalirsky faced 33 shots to earn the win. Shots on goal were even at 33 per team. Parry Sound had 9 minor penalties to the Titans 7.  Next home game is Friday September 18th against the Sturgeon Falls Lumberjacks. Prior to the start of the game the Titans unveiled their Northern Division first place banner as well as the Russell Cup banner to the delight of the fans in the house.
