Titans take game #1 over Lynx, 9-6

In what could be described as a non traditional playoff game where tight checking and low scores are the norm, it was a free wheeling affair at the Centre between the Lynx and Titans. The Titans never trailed in this game, 3-1 after the first, 5-3 after 40 minutes. Just when the TItans looked like they had a comfortable lead, the Lynx clawed their way back into the game. The league’s top trio came to play tonight amassing 16 points. Marc-Antoine Turcotte with 2g and 5a while his linemates Yannick Ethier had 2g-3a & Zacharie Maheu 2g-2a. Nicolas Tremblay also had a pair of goals and Misha Akatnov had the other marker.
Eloi Bouchard got the win turning aside 26 shots while his counterpart Cory Richardson of the Lynx faced 50 Titans shots.
Game #2 is in Sturgeon Falls on Saturday night. Game time is 7:30pm. Should a game 3 be required, it will be back at the Centre on Monday night with a 8:30pm puck drop.
