Titans split on weekend action

Another 2 game weekend for the Titans.  A home game Friday versus the Haliburton Wolves and a road trip to Seguin Saturday for an evening encounter with the Islanders.

Friday evening, the Titans and the Wolves played a good game but the it was the Titans coming out on top of a 4-2 score to bring their record to 7-0. Gustav Rollfelt and new arrival Nolan Kinney each had a pair of goals.  The Titans outshot the visitors 55-33.  Andreas Morger got the win.  3 stars were Rollfelt, R.Murray & the Wolves goaltender Watanabe.

Saturday, the Titans travelled to Seguin with 5 regulars out of the lineup due to injury, sickness and suspensions. So the task was a little more difficult to stay undefeated.  Trailing 2-0 after the first and 2-1 after the middle period, the Titans could get no closer as the Islanders scored early in the third and then added an empty netter in the last minute to hand the Titans their first loss of the season by the score of 4-1.  Tomas Mastalirsky suffered the loss in goal.  Sakari Starkkila had the lone goal for the Titans. Titans were outshot 36-24.
