Titans add punch to offense
The Titans are very pleased to announce the signing of Russian forward Mikhail “Misha” Akatnov (98) 5’11” 183lbs.
The spectacular Russian forward has spent the last five seasons in America, including the last four with the Missoula Jr Bruins, either in the WSHL or the NA3HL.
Last year, Misha set three new NA3HL offensive records.
With 67 goals 43 assists for 110 points in just 39 games, he rewrote the record book in this way:
67 goals in 1 season (61 was the old mark)
150 goals scored setting a new record for the most goals for life in this league (148 was the record)
258 career points eclipsed the previous record of 248.
Here’s what GM François Harrisson can tell us about his latest acquisition:
“Misha’s statistics speak for themselves; he is an explosive, creative and spectacular player.
But what makes him so good is his IQ hockey. He is a particularly intelligent player who often sees opportunities that others do not see.
Two elements that reveal a lot about him are his differential of (+ and – ) he was +63 last season and also accumulated 194 minutes penalty.
He is aware of his defensive duties and not particularly fearful.
The fact that he wore a letter on his jersey in Missoula and stayed four seasons on the same team indicates that he is also a team player.
Misha is what is called a “game changer” in terms of hockey.
He will have to make his place in a great group of guys, but I have no doubt that he will quickly blend into our club. »
Misha Akatnov arrives at Toronto Airport from Moscow tonight around 6 p.m. and will participate in her first training tomorrow with the team.
He’ll be wearing number 98.
Welcome to the Misha Titans
