Titans announce the signing of Russian forward Ilya Badanin (2000) 6’1 ’’ 185.
Developed by the renowned Dynamo Moscow program, there is a lot to be said about our new Titans.
From the 2015-16 season in the U16, Ilya Badanin produced 38 points in 36 games with you he Moscow Dynamo.
At 17 he skated for the first time in America playing with Syracuse in NCDC, the 3rd strongest Jr. league in the USA. He maintained an average of 1 goal every 2 games, even at this young age.
At 18, the athlete from Moscow finished 1st points producer with Omskie Yastreby in the powerful MHL, the Russian Major Jr level.
He was chosen Player of the Month in October 2018 and was selected to the MHL All-Star Team.
After such an excellent season, the NHL named him one of the top 100 imported players for the 2019 Draft.
Over time, Ilya has played with or against more than a dozen players who now play in KHL, with or against 5 players who now play in AHL (American Hockey League) and against Andrei Svechnikov of the NHL Carolina Hurricanes.
Interestingly, Ilya and the Titans Reingold Shtemke played together, and mostly on the same line, from the ages of 5 to 15. They are great friends. They played together in an international Bantam AAA tournament held in Boston and had great success there.
With the Canadian border scheduled to open next Tuesday, we expect Reingold and Ilya to arrive just in time for the start of the season, or early October.
Ilya will wear the number 67.
Welcome to the Titans Ilya Badanin
