Titans hand Rattlers 1st loss of season with 5-3 win

The game on Friday night was billed as the battle of the division leaders. Bradford came in undefeated and the Titans were riding a 8 game streak of their own. The Titans who have not practiced in over 2 days due to the power outage were not showing any signs of rust as they skated to a 2-0 first period lead on goals by Ilya Badanin and Jay Rocheford.

The second period saw the Titans score two more times to only one for Bradford to head into the final 20 minutes leading 4-1. Goals came from Pier-Luc Cere and Badanin with his second. In the final 20 minutes the Rattlers peppered Eloi Bouchard with 22 shots and only getting two behind him. Blaise Coocoo had the lone marker in period three.

Shots were 49 Rattlers 41 Titans. 3 stars Eloi Bouchard, Ilya Badanin and Nico Gregoire.

The Titans are back on the road tomorrow with a 7:30 start against the South Muskoka Shield.

The Titans would like to thank Richard Gionet (arena staff) for the excellent work that was involved to get our ice back to normal. Friday morning, the surface was covered with water as the temperature of the ice was 34F. Operating temp is around 21F. We only found out around 3pm that we would be playing our game.  THANKS AGAIN RICHARD !!!
