Titans win shootout thriller in Meaford | Titans de témiscaming

The Titans were playing the Meaford Knights on Sunday afternoon in Meaford. The last time these two teams met resulted in a 4-3 Titans win at the Centre. Nico Wilton got the Titans back even in the third on a power play but the Knights replied to regain a 3-2 lead. Ryder Murray then scored with fewer 6 minutes to play in the game to send the two teams to a five minute overtime period that the Titans played a man short due to a major penalty handed out to Hampus Andersson. The Titans killed off the major and forced the game to be decided by a shootout. A total of 7 shooters were required to decide a winner. The Titans outscored the Knights 2-1 in the S-O. Marc-Antoine Arseneau also scored on his try. But it was Wilhelmsson that put an end to the game. Larri Vartiainen had 3 assists. Shots were in the Titans favor, 56-42.
