Titans add more Swedish firepower

The Temiscaming Titans are extremely pleased to announce the signing of Joakim Braneby (’97) from Stora, Sweden. The Titans forwards will benefit from another big presence as Joakim comes in at 6’1” and 205lbs. A natural center man, he says that he sees the ice really well and is quick to feed his wingers with accurate passes. He also has seen a lot of time on the power play where he can play up front or back on the blue line where he can use his excellent shot. Why he chose to play for the Titans Joakim says “After speaking with several former Titans and hearing nothing but praise about the town, the fan support and the way the players are taken care of made my decision very simple. Titans G.M. Nicolas Tourigny says of Joakim      “He’s a skilled forward that is a strong skater and possesses a great set of hands. He has produced at every level that he has played. In the past 2 seasons he played 42 Division 3 games for Guldsmedshytte SK and in those games, he scored 17 times and added 25 helpers for a point a game average. Last season he also played 13 games for Lindhovens IF J20 where he scored 9 goals and had 10 assists.” Tourigny adds “Joakim will be one of our offensive weapons and leaders and we are confident he will compete every night. I look forward to seeing him on the ice, wearing Titans blue # 23”.

Welcome to Canada, Temiscaming and the Titans Joakim !
