Titans help out in regional fundraiser

The Titans were just barely back from their 2 day 2 game road trip early Saturday morning when they hopped on the team bus and drove up to Notre Dame du Nord to participate in a fund raising event for the local minor hockey and figure skating associations. The event was called “On joue avec les Titans”. The afternoon started off with games with approximately 75 children from 4 to 14 years old including mini stick hockey, sand bag toss, nerf darts and the very popular face painting. Every single players was used as a canvas for the young kids. This was followed by a delicious spaghetti supper. The on ice activities followed with the Titans playing against and along with novice, atom, pee-wee and bantam aged boys and girls a series of three mini hockey games. A short presentation by local figure skaters entertained to crowd of about 300. Then the feature team of the event took to the ice, the Titans and a team comprised of local hockey players varying in age from 16 to 45 years of age. The score was not important as the goal was to raise funds. But just in case you’re wondering the score was 9-5 Titans. The team was extremely well received and each and every player came back home on the bus with a special moment that they encountered during their visit.
