The Titans were hosting their 6th home opener of their existence in the GMHL and kept their winning streak alive with a win Friday evening at the Centre in front of a crowd of over 400. Trailing 2-0 after the first, then 4-0 after 1 minute of the second. Things didn’t look too good. But the Titans fired three unanswered goals in the last 15 min of the period to go to the final period trailing only 5-3 following a last minute goal by… the Bulls. The Titans gained control of the third period and scored 4 goals with the last one in the empty net while shorthanded to secure a 7-5 victory. Titans goals came from 7 different players: Hampus Andersson, Scott Sovinsky, Guillaume Taupier, Nico Wilton, Taylor Hickman, Nicolas Proulx and Anthony Bedard. Proulx also pitched in with three assists. Ryder Murray had a pair of assists putting him over the 200 assists mark of his career. Peter Bastuga and Jason Goes shared duties in goal with Goes getting the “V”. Shots on goal were 42-39 Titans. the 3 stars were Anthony Bedard, Tyler Quintos of the Bulls and Guillaume Taupier. Titans had 13 penalties to the Bulls 8.
