Read MoreThe Titans and the West Nipissing Lynx were in action at the Centre on Friday evening for the first game of a home and home series. The Titans held on for a 7-5 victory over the Lynx who kept the game interesting. Leading 2-1 after first period goals from Guillaume Taupier and Ryder Murray. Six goals were scored in the middle period with each team netting three goals. Taupier with his second, Adrien Guenette and Nico Wilton had the others. With 4 minutes left to play in the second, Jason Goes was pulled and Raffaele Izzo came in to finish the game. In the final period, each team scored on a power play, Adrien Guenette with his second and with less than 4 minutes to play Taupier scored to complete his hat trick. Taupier and Wilton also chipped in with 2 assists apiece. Shots on goal were 59-23 Titans. 3 stars were: Taupier, Zacharie Maheu of the Titans and Nathaniel McLeod of the Lynx. Game 2 of this home and home series will be played Saturday night in Sturgeon Falls, game time is 8pm.
