Titans get Arason out of Iceland

The Titans liked what they found in Iceland with Kristjan Kristinsson that we went back for a second visit and come back with another promising player from Reykjavik. Joining the ranks of the Titans is 17 year old defenseman Vignir Arason. Titans GM Nicolas Tourigny says “that with the addition of the 5’11” 175 lbs Arason, the Titans get a smooth skating d-man who likes to join in on the rush by carrying the puck out of his zone when the opportunity arises. He is very reliable in his zone and is rarely out of position. He has a very high skill level. Last season he was selected to represent his country playing with the Under 18 and under 20 national teams in the division 2 & 3 world championships where he played 10 games and collected 2 goals and 1 assist. In 2014-15, he completed in the same championships and had 3 goals and 2 assists in 11 games. Arason says that his selection of the Titans was based on the program that is offered to the players as well as the support of the fans and our facilities at the Centre. Vignir will be wearing jersey #17.

Welcome to Canada, Temiscaming and the Titans Vignir !!
