Titans drop road game to Islanders

The Temiscaming Titans(1-0) were making their first road trip of the season travelling to Seguin to play the Parry Sound Islanders (2-0) on Saturday September 17th.  The Titans started this game the same way as they did a week earlier in their home opener, that is trailing early due to penalty problems.  Trailing 3-0 early in the first period, the home team made it 4-0 again early in the second period.  Two quick goals by Guillaume Taupier and Larri Vartiainen had the Titans within two. Another of their five power play goals from Parry Sound made it 5-2.  But the Titans responded with a power play marker by Taylor Hickman. Guillaume Taupier added his second to make it a one goal game.  Two unanswered Islanders goals in the final period gave the victory to the home team.  Shots were 47-32 Parry Sound.  Raffaele Izzo took the loss in first game with the Titans.  The Titans will now have all week to prepare for a three game weekend.  First up Friday night at the Centre are the Bradford Rattlers then Saturday the Seguin Huskies will be in town and the Titans wrap up their weekend with a trip to Bracebridge to play the Blues.
