The Titans recent success continued on Friday evening at the Centre with a come from behind 8-4 victory over the visiting South Muskoka Shield. But the outcome of the game looked different in the first 22 minutes as the Shield opened a 3-0 lead before the Titans second period come back started. Three goals in less than 3 minutes tied the score. Later in the period the Titans took their first lead on a Thomas Leonard wrist shot from the blue line that found the top corner of the net and had the goaltenders water bottle flying through the air. Guillaume Taupier, Gustav Rollfelt and a nice wraparound goal by newcomer Davide Asselin had the Titans ahead 4-3 heading into the final 20 minutes. The Shield made it a one goal game only 43 seconds into the third. But 4 unanswered goals by Arvid Sjogren, Rylan Freed, Victor Lilja and Leonard with his second put an end to the scoring and sealed the victory for the Titans, who are now 13-4 good for 26 points and tied for second position. The Titans have now won 9 consecutive games and 11 of their last 12. Shots favoured the Titans 67-37. 3 stars were Rylan Freed, Gustav Rollfelt and Thomas Leonard. The Titans now complete their 3 games in 4 days weekend with a Sunday night game against the Bradford Rattlers in Bradford.
